Gleb Eliseev received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stanislav Hlusov came out and tried to block the shot, but Gleb Eliseev slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Ulan-Ude's goalkeeper Stanislav Hlusov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gleb Eliseev. Ernest Zhendarov struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Stanislav Hlusov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Makhachkala. Klim Akinfeev charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klim Akinfeev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Artur Chernomazov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 24 played minutes Ulan-Ude got a freekick which was hit by Klim Akinfeev. If Stanislav Fedonkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanislav Fedonkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikhail Gurev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dmitriy Kopylov, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. A collision led to Makhachkala getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Maksim Lapisov hit a great ball. Viktor Gollandskiy was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Dmitriy Kopylov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikhail Gurev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanislav Fedonkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dmitriy Kopylov to make the kick off. Ulan-Ude's Stanislav Fedonkin got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ulan-Ude's goalkeeper Stanislav Hlusov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dmitriy Kopylov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mikhail Gurev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ulan-Ude's Efim Rutkovskiy got a free kick in the 71st minute. Stanislav Fedonkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikhail Gurev having to interfere. Mikhail Gurev was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Dmitriy Kopylov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dmitriy Kopylov really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Stanislav Hlusov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Zhendarov in the 83rd minute of play. Viktor Gollandskiy hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Efim Rutkovskiy hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. Roman Androsik took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stanislav Hlusov. Ulan-Ude's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Ulan-Ude players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Makhachkala from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
