Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Semen Dolbonosov ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Yakutsk HC's Vladislav Dementiev got a free kick in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yakutsk HC's zone, Gennadiy Galihmatov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Veniamin Petuhov came out of the goal and Gennadiy Galihmatov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Yakutsk HC's Boris Antipov got a free kick in the 31st minute. The Elets FC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Elets FC's Semen Dolbonosov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 44 minutes into the match, Elets FC's Semen Dolbonosov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Veniamin Petuhov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Valentin Shakurov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Veniamin Petuhov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semen Dolbonosov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Klim Divin charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klim Divin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Elets FC's Klim Divin got a free kick in the 70th minute. Efim Gurtsevich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elets FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Shakurov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentin Shakurov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Veniamin Petuhov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. If Semen Dolbonosov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Veniamin Petuhov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semen Dolbonosov in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Elets FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yakutsk HC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
