The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fedot Ivanteev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Egor Zvenigorodskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arseniy Premolennyi kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to Samara getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Valentin Loginov hit a great ball. Evgeniy Klichko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filimon Margulis having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Yaroslav Cherepanov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nizhnevartovsk FC the free kick. Yaroslav Cherepanov hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Gleb Samylkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute of the match Filipp Safiulin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egor Zvenigorodskiy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Evgeniy Klichko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filimon Margulis having to interfere. Nizhnevartovsk FC's Egor Zvenigorodskiy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Nizhnevartovsk FC from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fedot Ivanteev made the kick off in the second half. David Gurev charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Gurev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 54 minutes into the match, Nizhnevartovsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Frolov came free, but Egor Zvenigorodskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filimon Margulis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gleb Samylkin. After 61 played minutes, Samara's Ivan Merkulov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Egor Zvenigorodskiy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Samara reached it. If Fedot Ivanteev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71stth minute of the game Fedot Ivanteev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nizhnevartovsk FC's Egor Zvenigorodskiy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Nizhnevartovsk FC's Arseniy Premolennyi got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Denis Frolov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 minutes, Felix Kudryashov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samara and the Nizhnevartovsk FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Nizhnevartovsk FC booed when Samara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Kudryashov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egor Zvenigorodskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedot Ivanteev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nizhnevartovsk FC's Egor Zvenigorodskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedot Ivanteev in the 85th minute of play. David Gurev got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Nizhnevartovsk FC's David Gurev got a free kick in the 95th minute. Samara's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
