Oleg Fomchenkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danila Kiryachenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nikita Gamburtsev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Grigoriy Potehin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Petropavlovsk-Kamch. HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Novotroitsk the free kick. After 31 played minutes Petropavlovsk-Kamch. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Danila Kiryachenko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Karl Mytsykov kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Novotroitsk's Nikolay Merkushev, in the 59th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Novotroitsk. Nikolay Negrov made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Pavel Panov sent off a good shot on target. If Nikita Gamburtsev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikolay Merkushev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oleg Fomchenkov having to interfere. When Eduard Tarabardin fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Petropavlovsk-Kamch. In the 77th minute Danila Kiryachenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oleg Fomchenkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikolay Negrov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikita Gamburtsev, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. HC's Nikita Gamburtsev got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Novotroitsk's goalkeeper Nikolay Negrov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pavel Panov. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Novotroitsk fans cheered their team off the field, for while Petropavlovsk-Kamch. HC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
