After 5 minutes, Tihon Kovtun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miass FC and the Astrakhan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tihon Kovtun kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Miass FC defense, Stepan Zorkin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dmitriy Sosulin. The Miass FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dmitriy Sosulin should have stopped the shot. German Marinchenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egor Adelman having to interfere. Miass FC's Dmitriy Sosulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipp Karyutkin in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikhail Khokhlov got free with Egor Adelman in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stepan Zorkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anatoliy Vadeev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Stepan Zorkin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astrakhan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stepan Zorkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dmitriy Sosulin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Filipp Karyutkin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dmitriy Sosulin was relentless in the 78th minute of the game.
