Albert Znamenskiy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomsk FC's Albert Znamenskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitold Aronov in the 21st minute of play. If Egor Gelakhov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruslan Malafeev struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Albert Znamenskiy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kopeysk. Albert Znamenskiy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitold Aronov's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Ruslan Malafeev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Albert Znamenskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dmitriy Antipov kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Tomsk FC booed when Kopeysk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrey Rubakhin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Matvey Mishin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sergey Belyavskiy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After a rather tough play, Kopeysk's Yaromir Ostapchik got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Igor Hodorovskiy charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Hodorovskiy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viktor Gulkin got free with Sergey Belyavskiy in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
