The Tomsk FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albert Znamenskiy should have stopped the shot. Albert Znamenskiy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikolay Pogorelskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes Tomsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Vladislav Pochechikin. After 26 played minutes Mytishchi HC got a freekick which was hit by Kirill Stransburgskiy. Egor Gelakhov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Mytishchi HC's Kirill Stransburgskiy got a free kick in the 38th minute. Matvey Mishin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 39th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Kirill Stransburgskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Egor Gelakhov made the kick off in the second half. Mytishchi HC's Mikhail Balyabin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egor Gelakhov in the 57th minute of play. Egor Gelakhov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mytishchi HC's Nikolay Pogorelskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mytishchi HC's zone, Egor Gelakhov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikhail Balyabin came out of the goal and Egor Gelakhov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egor Gelakhov in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikhail Balyabin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 72 minutes, Grigoriy Averchenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mytishchi HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grigoriy Averchenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mikhail Balyabin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Gulkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egor Gelakhov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rostislav Babushkin came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Mytishchi HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rostislav Babushkin couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rostislav Babushkin got free with Albert Znamenskiy in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valeriy Rogov kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Oleg Tinkov, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mytishchi HC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
