The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oleg Eliseev kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Korolev's goalkeeper Igor Tarasov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrey Afanasenkov. A collision led to Korolev getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Georgiy Shishkin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Kovrov FC's Ilya Rusetskiy got a free kick in the 8th minute. Matvey Tuvin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Daniil Ilyasov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Georgiy Gavrilenkov struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Daniil Ilyasov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Korolev. Daniil Ilyasov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matvey Tuvin in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Rustam Kokarev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kovrov FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rustam Kokarev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrey Afanasenkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georgiy Gavrilenkov in the 27th minute of play forced Kovrov FC's goalkeeper Daniil Ilyasov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Rustam Kokarev reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Igor Tarasov. The goal made the score 1-0. Kovrov FC's Rustam Kokarev got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rustam Kokarev came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Kovrov FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rustam Kokarev couldn't finish the play. If Georgiy Gavrilenkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matvey Tuvin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Daniil Ilyasov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 52nd minute Matvey Tuvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniil Ilyasov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georgiy Gavrilenkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniil Ilyasov having to interfere. When Rudolf Donberg fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kovrov FC's protests and gave Rudolf Donberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Kovrov FC got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Donberg. 78 minutes into the match, Korolev's Georgiy Gavrilenkov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniil Ilyasov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Kovrov FC's Artem Gamaley got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute Matvey Tuvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniil Ilyasov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
