With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Zlatoust HC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Boleslav Agafonov hit a great ball. If Andrey Fesenkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nikita Bakov fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orel FC's protests and gave Nikita Bakov a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Orel FC's Nikita Bakov got a free kick in the 35th minute. Zlatoust HC's Andrey Fesenkov got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, Orel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martyn Butyrev to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The audience was convinced that Vasiliy Moryakov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mark Patkul was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Andrey Fesenkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerasim Dovgan having to interfere. In the 95th minute Stepan Vittel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Patkul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Orel FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zlatoust HC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
