Petr Shpakovskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Barnaul FC defense, Klim Sarnetskiy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Innokentiy Cheshihin. The Barnaul FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Innokentiy Cheshihin should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petr Shpakovskiy in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Innokentiy Cheshihin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fedor Pimenov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Danila Agranovich made a huge save. Danila Agranovich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Kohanyuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Sterlitamak's Danila Agranovich got control of the ball when Fedor Pimenov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Petr Shpakovskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Petr Shpakovskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 46 minutes, Fedor Pimenov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnaul FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fedor Pimenov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Barnaul FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sterlitamak were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
