The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Eduard Ivanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduard Ivanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Danila Agranovich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Ivanov in the 7th minute of play forced Sterlitamak's goalkeeper Danila Agranovich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sterlitamak's Danila Agranovich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Sterlitamak from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Neftekamsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Klim Sarnetskiy came free, but Zinoviy Zakharov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Klim Sarnetskiy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Neftekamsk FC's Zinoviy Zakharov. Zinoviy Zakharov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Danila Agranovich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Ivanov in the 39th minute of play. If Artem Kafarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Sterlitamak getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Yakov Avinov hit a great ball. In the 46th minute Neftekamsk FC were awarded a corner. Albert Pshenitsyn went to the cornerflag to take it. Zinoviy Zakharov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petr Shpakovskiy in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduard Ivanov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petr Shpakovskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Zinoviy Zakharov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Klim Sarnetskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sterlitamak's supporters rose to their feet, but Klim Sarnetskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zinoviy Zakharov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Artem Kafarov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Danila Agranovich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klim Sarnetskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petr Shpakovskiy's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zinoviy Zakharov firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 62nd minute, Boris Filimonov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Klim Sarnetskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petr Shpakovskiy struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Zinoviy Zakharov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sterlitamak. If Petr Shpakovskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ippolit Kononov charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ippolit Kononov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Petr Shpakovskiy took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zinoviy Zakharov. Zinoviy Zakharov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Petr Shpakovskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Zinoviy Zakharov made a huge save. Sterlitamak's Danila Agranovich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Ivanov in the 85th minute of play. Marat Beschenko kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artem Kafarov in the 90th minute of play forced Sterlitamak's goalkeeper Danila Agranovich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nikolay Tsvetkov fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sterlitamak's protests and gave Nikolay Tsvetkov a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Ivanov in the 92nd minute of play forced Sterlitamak's goalkeeper Danila Agranovich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sterlitamak eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
