The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk got a freekick which was hit by Silvestr Sundukov. In the 9th minute of the match Evgeniy Pshenitsin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valentin Pekarevskiy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's Efim Bersenev in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Daniil Syrchegov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evgeniy Pshenitsin charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evgeniy Pshenitsin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yaroslav Sidorov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efim Bersenev to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Maykop booed when Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Mityash didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Maykop's Aleksandr Titlinov tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 32nd match minute, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasiliy Bragin to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Daniil Syrchegov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maykop fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Egor Shilobreev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Valentin Pekarevskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Efim Bersenev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 80thth minute of the game Efim Bersenev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maykop's Valentin Pekarevskiy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Egor Shilobreev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egor Shilobreev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Mityash could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Valentin Pekarevskiy made a huge save. 85 minutes into the game, Innokentiy Karpin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maykop the free kick. 85 minutes into the game, one of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Valentin Pekarevskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efim Bersenev in the 98th minute of play. The supporters of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk booed when Maykop was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gleb Garyainov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maykop's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
