German Pashkevich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ippolit Lantsov in the 3rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Oktyabrsky FC's Timur Vorobiev got control of the ball when Marat Charnetskiy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timur Vorobiev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oleg Gorbatov in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Andrey Sidorenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oleg Lobanovskiy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for German Pashkevich. Tula HC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Andrey Sidorenko recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Timur Vorobiev. Andrey Sidorenko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. German Pashkevich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klim Pehtin, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Timur Vorobiev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrey Sidorenko's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Marat Charnetskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timur Vorobiev having to interfere. German Pashkevich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klim Pehtin in the 29th minute of play. Oktyabrsky FC's Klim Pehtin got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Oktyabrsky FC's zone, Andrey Sidorenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timur Vorobiev came out of the goal and Andrey Sidorenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tula HC's Andrey Sidorenko got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Klim Pehtin came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Oktyabrsky FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klim Pehtin couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute of the match, Andrey Sidorenko tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Timur Vorobiev saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klim Pehtin to make the kick off. Andrey Sidorenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Tula HC booed when Oktyabrsky FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitold Aganin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrey Sidorenko took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Timur Vorobiev. Timur Vorobiev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Marat Charnetskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marat Charnetskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marat Charnetskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Timur Vorobiev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Oleg Gorbatov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tula HC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Oktyabrsky FC for a fine match.
