The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the game, Albert Manevich was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salavat FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zheleznodorozhny the free kick. After 11 played minutes Salavat FC got a freekick which was hit by Albert Manevich. In the 18th minute of the match, Daniil Kuzmin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Innokentiy Belkovskiy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 25th minute, David Lobanovskiy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zheleznodorozhny fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Innokentiy Belkovskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniil Kuzmin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Daniil Kuzmin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innokentiy Belkovskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Salavat FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Lobanovskiy came free, but Vladimir Safonov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikhail Lukashin scored 2-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Innokentiy Belkovskiy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Salavat FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiy Rogozhin came free, but Vladimir Safonov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Zheleznodorozhny booed when Salavat FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksandr Grinshtein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arkadiy Rogozhin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Lobanovskiy made a kick off. Arkadiy Rogozhin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimir Safonov having to make a save. Aleksey Sementin hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The supporters of Zheleznodorozhny booed when Salavat FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksey Sementin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 played minutes Salavat FC got a freekick which was hit by Albert Manevich. After having played for 63 minutes, Daniil Kuzmin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salavat FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniil Kuzmin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fedot Chudinovskih kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Arkadiy Rogozhin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Safonov having to interfere. Innokentiy Belkovskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikhail Lukashin in the 70th minute of the match. David Lobanovskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Vladimir Safonov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Salavat FC! An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniil Kuzmin in the 78th minute of play forced Zheleznodorozhny's goalkeeper Innokentiy Belkovskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
