Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anatoliy Tsvirko started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Birobidzhan's Anatoliy Tsvirko fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 7th minute, one of Omsk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Omsk. Anatoliy Tsvirko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Birobidzhan's Anatoliy Tsvirko got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimir Olkov kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Anatoliy Tsvirko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birobidzhan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anatoliy Tsvirko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ruslan Semanov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergey Misyakov was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Sergey Misyakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruslan Semanov in the 28th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Leonid Denisov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Birobidzhan and the Omsk players grew even worse after the yellow card. Petr Ovchinnikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruslan Yagya having to interfere. When Anatoliy Tsvirko came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Birobidzhan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anatoliy Tsvirko couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Birobidzhan booed when Omsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Gamov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruslan Yagya was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Denis Yudin. After a rather tough play, Birobidzhan's Dmitriy Isaev got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Ruslan Semanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergey Misyakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vasiliy Lapin was the one to do the kick off. Vasiliy Lapin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sergey Misyakov came out and tried to block the shot, but Vasiliy Lapin slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasiliy Lapin in the 58th minute of play forced Birobidzhan's goalkeeper Sergey Misyakov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruslan Semanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergey Misyakov having to interfere. If Anatoliy Tsvirko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Birobidzhan's Anatoliy Tsvirko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruslan Yagya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ruslan Semanov was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 76th minute. Omsk's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 78 minutes into the match, Birobidzhan's goalkeeper Sergey Misyakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruslan Semanov. Vasiliy Lapin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sergey Misyakov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Omsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zinoviy Borovskiy to maneuver through the defense. Sergey Misyakov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasiliy Lapin, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. With a little luck, Birobidzhan's Sergey Misyakov got control of the ball when Ruslan Semanov tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Birobidzhan booed when Omsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oleg Samoilenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Anatoliy Tsvirko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruslan Yagya was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimir Olkov during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 96 minutes into the match, Birobidzhan's goalkeeper Sergey Misyakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruslan Semanov. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Birobidzhan fans cheered their team off the field, for while Omsk had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
