Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Oleg Venediktov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anatoliy Kogan having to interfere. In the 12thth minute of the game Oleg Venediktov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ivanovo FC's Anatoliy Kogan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Petr Hudoinatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anatoliy Kogan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Rudolf Shumikhin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 22 minutes, Zinoviy Zinovev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ivanovo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zinoviy Zinovev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute Emmanuil Zakrevskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirill Maryutin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ivanovo FC's Leonid Morskiy got a free kick in the 27th minute. Rostislav Panov, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kirill Maryutin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanuil Zakrevskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Zinoviy Zinovev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 38 played minutes Ivanovo FC got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuil Zakrevskiy. Rudolf Shumikhin hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Daniil Malamuzh took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kirill Maryutin. Syzran's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Syzran booed when Ivanovo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vissarion Tregubov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Alekseenko charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Alekseenko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ivanovo FC's Igor Alekseenko got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emmanuil Zakrevskiy to make the kick off. After 55th play minutes Oleg Venediktov shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Anatoliy Kogan and just under the crossbar into goal. Kirill Maryutin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanuil Zakrevskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ivanovo FC's zone, Oleg Venediktov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anatoliy Kogan came out of the goal and Oleg Venediktov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anatoliy Kogan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudolf Shumikhin in the 67th minute. Rudolf Shumikhin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anatoliy Kogan came out and tried to block the shot, but Rudolf Shumikhin slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 75th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Ivanovo FC's Emmanuil Zakrevskiy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kirill Maryutin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 88 minutes of play, Syzran's Rudolf Shumikhin made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anatoliy Kogan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Syzran's Oleg Venediktov got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
