Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Viktor Drobysh started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Volgodonsk FC booed when Ulyanovsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuil Obydennov didn't get a good kick on the ball. German Markov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirill Rogulin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Ulyanovsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kirill Rogulin came free, but German Markov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ulyanovsk FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Stepan Gryakalov hit a great ball. Kirill Rogulin took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised German Markov. German Markov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kirill Rogulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Markov having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petr Gurovich got free with Ernest Esipov in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Zagriev to strike the kick off in the second half. If Stepan Gryakalov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stepan Gryakalov during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Ulyanovsk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stepan Gryakalov to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viktor Drobysh in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg German Markov saved Ulyanovsk FC from getting behind. Nikolay Lezhnev's late challenge caught a Ulyanovsk FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikolay Lezhnev helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Volgodonsk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikolay Lezhnev to maneuver through the defense. Petr Gurovich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ippolit Buryak's late challenge caught a Volgodonsk FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ippolit Buryak helped the player get up and apologised. With an all-out effort, Volgodonsk FC's German Markov threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Viktor Drobysh, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kirill Rogulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. German Markov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Gennadiy Savin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Volgodonsk FC's zone, Petr Gurovich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernest Esipov came out of the goal and Petr Gurovich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Zagriev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Esipov having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Volgodonsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Zagriev came free, but Ernest Esipov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Viktor Drobysh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Markov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes of play Ulyanovsk FC's Ippolit Buryak was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ippolit Buryak hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Viktor Drobysh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. German Markov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viktor Drobysh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Viktor Drobysh in the 91st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Volgodonsk FC's Viktor Drobysh slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of German Markov. That made the score 0-2 after 97 minutes of play. The Ulyanovsk FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Volgodonsk FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Volgodonsk FC.
