Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mechislav Krasilnikov ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 6th minute, Sergey Bobylev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Fingrut took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anton Baginov. Ukhta FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Abakan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Tretyak to maneuver through the defense. Igor Abdulevskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mechislav Krasilnikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Baginov having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Abakan's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Abdulevskiy came free, but Anton Belyakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erast Andrianov got free with Anton Baginov in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mechislav Krasilnikov was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksey Vorontsov in the 53rd minute of play forced Abakan's goalkeeper Anton Belyakov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergey Bobylev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Belyakov having to interfere. Anton Belyakov made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Igor Abdulevskiy sent off a good shot on target. Anton Baginov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mechislav Krasilnikov, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Mechislav Krasilnikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Baginov having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Erast Andrianov made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ukhta FC's Anton Baginov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Erast Andrianov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Ukhta FC's Petr Mironov got a free kick in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Abdulevskiy got free with Anton Belyakov in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mechislav Krasilnikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Baginov having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Erast Andrianov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Baginov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Smelkov hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Ukhta FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
