A collision led to Grozny getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Erofey Rudaev hit a great ball. If Vladislav Chervotkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of Petropavlovsk-Kamch. booed when Grozny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dmitriy Rozenbakh didn't get a good kick on the ball.
