Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aleksandr Tretyakov kicked off to start the match. Dmitriy Gorodetskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Georgiy Mostovoy made a huge save. Georgiy Mostovoy came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Kovrov HC's Dmitriy Gorodetskiy. But to his dismay, Dmitriy Gorodetskiy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Barnaul's goalkeeper Georgiy Mostovoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grigoriy Shtark. Dmitriy Gorodetskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Georgiy Mostovoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grigoriy Shtark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gleb Romashov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksandr Tretyakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kovrov HC's goalkeeper Gleb Romashov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Anatoliy Alekseev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barnaul's supporters rose to their feet, but Anatoliy Alekseev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gleb Romashov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aleksandr Tretyakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gleb Romashov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Grigoriy Shtark notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Barnaul's Georgiy Mostovoy. Georgiy Mostovoy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th minute, Evsey Babushkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aleksandr Tretyakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gleb Romashov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatoliy Alekseev in the 35th minute of play forced Kovrov HC's goalkeeper Gleb Romashov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 2-1 became the score in the 36th minute when Aleksandr Tretyakov elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Dmitriy Gorodetskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgiy Mostovoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Barnaul's zone, Dmitriy Gorodetskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georgiy Mostovoy came out of the goal and Dmitriy Gorodetskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dmitriy Gorodetskiy to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Barnaul's Aleksandr Tretyakov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gleb Romashov. Gleb Romashov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Anatoliy Alekseev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anatoliy Alekseev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gleb Romashov having to interfere. Roman Kondrashev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gleb Romashov having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Grigoriy Shtark managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kovrov HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Grigoriy Shtark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georgiy Mostovoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barnaul's Georgiy Mostovoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dmitriy Gorodetskiy in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Kovrov HC's Grigoriy Shtark sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georgiy Mostovoy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anatoliy Alekseev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gleb Romashov having to interfere. Georgiy Mostovoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dmitriy Gorodetskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kovrov HC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Mikhail Chistyakov hit a great ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
