Andrey Velepolskiy's late challenge caught a Nevinnomyssk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barnaul's Gleb Larin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Sharov in the 9th minute of play. Andrey Velepolskiy got his second yellow card in the match during the 10th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 10th minute, Andrey Velepolskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gleb Larin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Sharov, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Danila Sorokin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gleb Larin having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Felix Sharov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Klim Bartini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolay Fedoseev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yuvenaliy Borovoy during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Yuvenaliy Borovoy kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Ruslan Ruchkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nevinnomyssk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruslan Ruchkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nevinnomyssk's Felix Sharov got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Sharov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th match minute, Barnaul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuvenaliy Borovoy to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Nikolay Fedoseev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klim Bartini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Sharov struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Gleb Larin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nevinnomyssk. With a little luck, Barnaul's Gleb Larin got control of the ball when Yan Korenchevskiy tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Felix Sharov made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Barnaul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oleg Melnikov to maneuver through the defense. 1-0 became the score in the 55th minute when Felix Sharov elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nevinnomyssk's Felix Sharov got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. But to his dismay, Nikolay Fedoseev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Nikolay Fedoseev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gleb Larin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Sharov, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The supporters of Nevinnomyssk booed when Barnaul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkadiy Filatov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 played minutes, Nevinnomyssk's Ruslan Ruchkin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gleb Larin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nevinnomyssk reached it.
