Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Artur Gerasimov started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Birobidzhan booed when Taganrog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrey Sitnikov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birobidzhan's Andrey Kondorskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrey Veselov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Arkadiy Valov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Taganrog's Georgiy Yakovlev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nikolay Chugunov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Taganrog's Artur Gerasimov got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 17th minute, Artur Gerasimov fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. In the 20thth minute of the game Georgiy Yakovlev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birobidzhan's Nikolay Chugunov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Birobidzhan's German Kosopkin got a free kick in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the game, Andrey Sitnikov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taganrog's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Birobidzhan the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Taganrog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrey Sitnikov to maneuver through the defense. Georgiy Yakovlev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikolay Chugunov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Gerasimov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Andrey Veselov came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Birobidzhan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrey Veselov couldn't finish the play. Nikolay Chugunov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georgiy Yakovlev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Andrey Kondorskiy made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Andrey Veselov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arkadiy Valov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 minutes, Lev Mulyarchik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taganrog and the Birobidzhan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Taganrog getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Lev Mulyarchik hit a great ball. Andrey Veselov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Arkadiy Valov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oleg Volnuhin's late challenge caught a Taganrog's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oleg Volnuhin helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 played minutes Birobidzhan got a freekick which was hit by Oleg Volnuhin. Andrey Kondorskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Arkadiy Valov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Georgiy Yakovlev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolay Chugunov having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 83rd minute when Artur Gerasimov elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some careless play in the Taganrog defense, Andrey Veselov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arkadiy Valov. The Taganrog fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arkadiy Valov should have stopped the shot. Porfiriy Ignashevich hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Nikolay Chugunov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Gerasimov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taganrog's Georgiy Yakovlev got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Birobidzhan players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
