Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk HC's Matvey Dergachev got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afanasiy Bulykin charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matvey Dergachev made a kick off. Vasiliy Shvabrin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matvey Dergachev, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Matvey Dergachev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Vasiliy Shvabrin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matvey Shashkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasiliy Shvabrin having to interfere. The supporters of Biysk FC booed when Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Zharkih didn't get a good kick on the ball.
