Felix Dvorskiy charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Dvorskiy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felix Dvorskiy hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kemerovo HC's zone, Vadim Dudnikov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimir Vorobiev came out of the goal and Vadim Dudnikov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anton Malofeev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimir Vorobiev having to make a save. In the 11th match minute, Kemerovo HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Mogilnichenko to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Vadim Dudnikov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimir Vorobiev was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 23 minutes into the game, Igor Chichkin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nikita Vanshenkin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vadim Dudnikov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Vladimir Vorobiev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Timur Altuhov came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Rostov-on-Don FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timur Altuhov couldn't finish the play. Igor Mogilnichenko's late challenge caught a Rostov-on-Don FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Mogilnichenko helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Kemerovo HC got a freekick which was hit by Igor Mogilnichenko. Nikita Vanshenkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasiliy Veniaminov in the 33rd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, Igor Chichkin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Nikita Vanshenkin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Dvorskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Igor Chichkin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nikita Vanshenkin having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When Vadim Dudnikov came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Rostov-on-Don FC fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasiliy Veniaminov in the 70th minute of play forced Rostov-on-Don FC's goalkeeper Nikita Vanshenkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes, Rostov-on-Don FC's Arkadiy Savin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vladimir Vorobiev came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rostov-on-Don FC reached it. Vasiliy Ilyin's late challenge caught a Rostov-on-Don FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasiliy Ilyin helped the player get up and apologised. Anton Malofeev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Vorobiev having to interfere. Nikita Vanshenkin made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Igor Chichkin sent off a good shot on target. Vadim Dudnikov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Vladimir Vorobiev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kemerovo HC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
