An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuriy Kabanov in the 5th minute of play forced Orel FC's goalkeeper Mikhail Simonov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Orel FC booed when Volgodonsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerasim Murashkintsev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fedor Shaidakov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Vladimir Tvorozhnikov made a huge save. Kirill Gruschetskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Mikhail Simonov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Georgiy Olifirenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Georgiy Olifirenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Orel FC booed when Volgodonsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksandr Strogovich didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Georgiy Olifirenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42nd play minutes Georgiy Olifirenko shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Vladimir Tvorozhnikov and just under the crossbar into goal.

55 minutes into the match, Yuriy Kabanov notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Orel FC's Mikhail Simonov. Mikhail Simonov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vasiliy Umerov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimir Tvorozhnikov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Volgodonsk FC's Vladimir Tvorozhnikov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georgiy Olifirenko in the 63rd minute of play. Yuriy Kabanov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Mikhail Simonov made a huge save. Mikhail Simonov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuriy Kabanov in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Volgodonsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vasiliy Umerov came free, but Vladimir Tvorozhnikov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Georgiy Olifirenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orel FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
