Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Vyacheslav Reshetinskiy started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Yuriy Kabanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roman Pystin hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Aleksandr Pshenichnikov hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Irakliy Gazymov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimir Tvorozhnikov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Kirill Gruschetskiy rounded Syzran's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Ilya Itlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirill Gruschetskiy in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irakliy Gazymov in the 29th minute of play forced Volgodonsk FC's goalkeeper Vladimir Tvorozhnikov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuriy Kabanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ilya Itlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleksandr Strogovich was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. If Irakliy Gazymov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vyacheslav Reshetinskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Vladimir Tvorozhnikov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Irakliy Gazymov got free with Vladimir Tvorozhnikov in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute Vyacheslav Reshetinskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Tvorozhnikov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Volgodonsk FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Leonid Ternovets hit a great ball. Vyacheslav Reshetinskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute, Vyacheslav Reshetinskiy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vladimir Tvorozhnikov. The goal made the score 1-2. Vyacheslav Reshetinskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Tvorozhnikov having to interfere. With a little luck, Volgodonsk FC's Vladimir Tvorozhnikov got control of the ball when Irakliy Gazymov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonid Ternovets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilya Itlin having to interfere. Syzran's Ilya Itlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuriy Kabanov in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Irakliy Gazymov made a precise shot to the right of Vladimir Tvorozhnikov. Volgodonsk FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Vyacheslav Reshetinskiy struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Vladimir Tvorozhnikov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Syzran. Syzran played a much better game than Volgodonsk FC and deserved their victory. The Volgodonsk FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
