When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aleksandr Bezobrazov made a kick off. Ernest Kireichikov kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 played minutes, Tomsk FC's Nikita Smirnov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ernest Izosimov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tomsk FC reached it. If Yakov Silin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aleksandr Bezobrazov had several of the Tomsk FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 64 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Innokentiy Seletsov as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 77 minutes, Konstantin Esipov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tomsk FC and the Shahty players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Gennadiy Basargin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Konstantin Esipov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Ernest Izosimov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernest Izosimov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantin Esipov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Shahty had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
