Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ernest Zykov was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Dmitriy Aleshin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dmitriy Aleshin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Vsevolod Chekashev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dmitriy Fedorovskiy having to interfere. Dmitriy Aleshin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ernest Zykov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Grozny FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dmitriy Aleshin came free, but Ernest Zykov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes of play, Astrakhan's Mikhail Atarov made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernest Zykov was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 23 minutes, Martyn Kleschevnikov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grozny FC and the Astrakhan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Grozny FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Martyn Kleschevnikov hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grozny FC's zone, Dmitriy Aleshin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernest Zykov came out of the goal and Dmitriy Aleshin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dmitriy Fedorovskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislav Katnov in the 43rd minute of play. Dmitriy Aleshin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Zykov having to interfere. Mikhail Atarov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dmitriy Aleshin to make the kick off. Vsevolod Chekashev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Dmitriy Fedorovskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd play minute Stanislav Katnov came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dmitriy Fedorovskiy. 2-1. 64 minutes into the game, Ernest Dryzhakov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astrakhan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grozny FC the free kick. Vsevolod Chekashev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dmitriy Fedorovskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vsevolod Chekashev in the 69th minute of play. After 74 played minutes Astrakhan got a freekick which was hit by Timofey Arinbasarov. Dmitriy Fedorovskiy made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Stanislav Katnov sent off a good shot on target. Grozny FC's Vsevolod Chekashev got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stanislav Katnov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Grozny FC booed when Astrakhan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evgeniy Sagulin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Dmitriy Sheshunov sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Astrakhan's Dmitriy Fedorovskiy didn't even have to move.
