Maksim Lapin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kopeysk HC's Aleksey Tarasenko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demyan Gabrielyants in the 10th minute of play. If Innokentiy Larionov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Blagoveshchensk FC defense, Innokentiy Larionov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arsen Romanov. The Blagoveshchensk FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arsen Romanov should have stopped the shot. When Innokentiy Larionov came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Kopeysk HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Innokentiy Larionov couldn't finish the play. Arsen Romanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikhail Stolypin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Kopeysk HC's Andrey Yalovoy got a free kick in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kopeysk HC's zone, Demyan Gabrielyants stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksey Tarasenko came out of the goal and Demyan Gabrielyants tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Innokentiy Larionov could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Arsen Romanov however easily saved by the left post. When Egor Zhinovich fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blagoveshchensk FC's protests and gave Egor Zhinovich a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes Blagoveshchensk FC got a freekick which was hit by Egor Zhinovich. In the 40th minute of the match Vladislav Malafeev shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arsen Romanov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aleksey Tarasenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maksim Lapin in the 45th minute of the match. Demyan Gabrielyants scored 1-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aleksey Tarasenko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Demyan Gabrielyants made a kick off. Maksim Lapin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Aleksey Tarasenko made a huge save. Innokentiy Larionov took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arsen Romanov. Arsen Romanov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Petr Masendich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsen Romanov having to interfere. Aleksey Tarasenko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Demyan Gabrielyants in the 72nd minute. Innokentiy Larionov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Arsen Romanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mikhail Stolypin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsen Romanov having to interfere. When Kopeysk HC's Innokentiy Larionov in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Blagoveshchensk FC's goalie prevented a goal. 89 minutes into the match, Blagoveshchensk FC's Maksim Lapin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aleksey Tarasenko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mikhail Stolypin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Arsen Romanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kopeysk HC had won after a very even match.
