Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Feoktist Filimonov took the kick off in the first half of the match. Georgiy Tobolkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Georgiy Tobolkin in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erast Blokhin saved Novoshakhtinsk from getting behind. Georgiy Tobolkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erast Blokhin having to interfere. Feoktist Filimonov struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Erast Blokhin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penza. With his leg Dmitriy Belov managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Novoshakhtinsk's Filimon Belyakov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maksim Alennikov during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maksim Alennikov kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Dmitriy Belov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuriy Kalashnikov, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute, Feoktist Filimonov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Penza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Yuriy Kalashnikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feoktist Filimonov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Erast Blokhin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Novoshakhtinsk's Yuriy Kalashnikov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dmitriy Belov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Feoktist Filimonov notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Novoshakhtinsk's Erast Blokhin. Erast Blokhin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes into the match, Filimon Belyakov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dmitriy Belov. Penza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filimon Belyakov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Novoshakhtinsk players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Penza were winning 1-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yuriy Kalashnikov made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Georgiy Tobolkin got free with Erast Blokhin in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erast Blokhin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feoktist Filimonov, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Dmitriy Belov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuriy Kalashnikov in the 61st minute of play. Georgiy Tobolkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Penza's Feoktist Filimonov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erast Blokhin. Erast Blokhin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Feoktist Filimonov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Novoshakhtinsk's Erast Blokhin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Novoshakhtinsk from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, Novoshakhtinsk's goal looked a bit too open when Feoktist Filimonov came free, but Erast Blokhin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Anatoliy Panenkov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Novoshakhtinsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Penza the free kick. After a rather tough play, Novoshakhtinsk's Anatoliy Panenkov got a free kick in the 85th minute. Anatoliy Panenkov got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Novoshakhtinsk getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Anatoliy Panenkov hit a great ball. Gerasim Homskiy, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Penza had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
