Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Elista's Vyacheslav Akinfeev started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Kyzyl's Konstantin Napylov in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elista's goalie prevented a goal. Arkadiy Sagadatov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rostislav Evreinov in the 8th minute of play. Vyacheslav Akinfeev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Konstantin Dolgashov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vyacheslav Akinfeev struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Konstantin Dolgashov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elista. Arkadiy Sagadatov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksandr Borushko in the 15th minute of play. Efim Demin kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Aleksandr Borushko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arkadiy Sagadatov having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Konstantin Napylov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kyzyl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konstantin Napylov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Konstantin Napylov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arkadiy Sagadatov was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Aleksandr Borushko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aleksandr Borushko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arkadiy Sagadatov having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Vladimir Bankuzov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Konstantin Napylov came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Kyzyl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konstantin Napylov couldn't finish the play. Pavel Cherevichenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Konstantin Dolgashov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleksandr Borushko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arkadiy Sagadatov having to interfere. Danila Alfimov hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Konstantin Napylov to strike the kick off in the second half. Arkadiy Sagadatov had great luck who in the 53rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Konstantin Napylov from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Konstantin Dolgashov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vyacheslav Akinfeev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vyacheslav Akinfeev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Konstantin Dolgashov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Kyzyl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Kovalchik to maneuver through the defense. Pavel Cherevichenko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Konstantin Dolgashov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Kyzyl's goal looked a bit too open when Vyacheslav Akinfeev came free, but Konstantin Dolgashov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Kyzyl getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Valeriy Miheev hit a great ball. If Pavel Cherevichenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elista's Pavel Cherevichenko got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Kyzyl's goal looked a bit too open when Vyacheslav Akinfeev came free, but Konstantin Dolgashov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Aleksandr Borushko dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arkadiy Sagadatov, 0-1. Aleksandr Borushko had several of the Elista's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 92 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Arkadiy Sagadatov as he didn't even see the shot coming. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kyzyl walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
