The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emmanuil Abramchuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Ivan Agranovskiy made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Uhabin in the 7th minute of play forced Almetyevsk FC's goalkeeper Ivan Agranovskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Pavel Uhabin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Agranovskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Almetyevsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Konstantin Muhortov. Borislav Babarykin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mikhail Bazilevich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Almetyevsk FC's Ivan Agranovskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Uhabin in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Emmanuil Abramchuk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balashikha's supporters rose to their feet, but Emmanuil Abramchuk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Agranovskiy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mikhail Bazilevich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Borislav Babarykin in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nikita Kolobov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Almetyevsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emmanuil Abramchuk came free, but Ivan Agranovskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Uhabin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Agranovskiy having to make a save. Ivan Agranovskiy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Uhabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Nikita Kolobov struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Mikhail Bazilevich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almetyevsk FC. Mikhail Bazilevich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikita Kolobov in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Balashikha's zone, Nikita Kolobov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikhail Bazilevich came out of the goal and Nikita Kolobov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Almetyevsk FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Balashikha.
