A collision led to Elektrostal getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Luka Matyushko hit a great ball. Marat Shergin struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Felix Agafonov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Severodvinsk FC. Vadim Anikanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Marat Shergin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Elektrostal's Felix Agafonov. Felix Agafonov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Elektrostal's zone, Vadim Anikanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Agafonov came out of the goal and Vadim Anikanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vadim Anikanov to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that German Kapskiy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yuriy Strebkov was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Boris Kaidanovskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuriy Strebkov having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Agafonov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 69 minutes, Vadim Anikanov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Severodvinsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vadim Anikanov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felix Agafonov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marat Shergin, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. When Boris Kaidanovskiy came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Elektrostal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boris Kaidanovskiy couldn't finish the play. Boris Kaidanovskiy succeeded in the game's 85th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 88 minutes into the match, Severodvinsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when German Kapskiy came free, but Yuriy Strebkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuriy Strebkov was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and German Kapskiy capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. German Kapskiy really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2.
