Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Petr Gneushev started the match with the kick off. Vadim Lobanovskiy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 2nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vyacheslav Blinov. Balashikha FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emmanuil Bazhov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vyacheslav Blinov having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Sochi's Vyacheslav Blinov threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emmanuil Bazhov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 13 minutes into the match, Balashikha FC's goalkeeper Vyacheslav Blinov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikhail Lukin. Efim Radosskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Nikita Maksimov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afanasiy Perfilov having to interfere. Petr Gneushev charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petr Gneushev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vyacheslav Blinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuil Bazhov in the 27th minute of play. Afanasiy Perfilov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikita Maksimov in the 31st minute of the match. Vyacheslav Blinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanuil Bazhov, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. With his leg Vyacheslav Blinov managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Sochi's Mikhail Lukin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efim Radosskiy in the 47th minute of play forced Sochi's goalkeeper Afanasiy Perfilov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emmanuil Bazhov made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Emmanuil Bazhov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sochi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 60 minutes into the match, Sochi's goalkeeper Afanasiy Perfilov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikita Maksimov. Sochi's Afanasiy Perfilov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petr Gneushev in the 63rd minute of play. Mikhail Lukin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vyacheslav Blinov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Emmanuil Bazhov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sochi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emmanuil Bazhov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mikhail Lukin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Vyacheslav Blinov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afanasiy Perfilov made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Nikita Maksimov sent off a good shot on target. Petr Gneushev was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. Balashikha FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Sochi's Andrey Bykov got a free kick in the 75th minute. Balashikha FC's Gennadiy Kapustinskiy couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sochi. Nikita Maksimov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Afanasiy Perfilov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Balashikha FC's Petr Gneushev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afanasiy Perfilov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Nikita Maksimov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Semen Avakov's late challenge caught a Balashikha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Semen Avakov helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Balashikha FC a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gennadiy Kapustinskiy, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sochi's Afanasiy Perfilov. 1-1. Emmanuil Bazhov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Sochi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nikita Maksimov fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
