Paramon Miheev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Gennadiy Zyuzin made a huge save. When Sergey Dorovatovskiy fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novocheboksarsk FC's protests and gave Sergey Dorovatovskiy a yellow card for diving instead. Dmitriy Kolmakov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikolay Vorobiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Nikolay Vorobiev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Irkutsk FC's Dmitriy Kolmakov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolay Vorobiev in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Irkutsk FC's Kirill Fomich got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Nikolay Vorobiev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniil Marutenkov struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gennadiy Zyuzin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irkutsk FC. Ruslan Stolyarov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dmitriy Kolmakov. Irkutsk FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Paramon Miheev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Gennadiy Zyuzin made a huge save. Irkutsk FC's Samuil Vasiliev got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nikolay Vorobiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paramon Miheev to strike the kick off in the second half. Gennadiy Zyuzin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniil Marutenkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Irkutsk FC's goalkeeper Dmitriy Kolmakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petr Yagutkin. The audience was convinced that Paramon Miheev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gennadiy Zyuzin was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Novocheboksarsk FC's Nikolay Vorobiev slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dmitriy Kolmakov. That made the score 0-1 after 59 minutes of play. Arnold Bondarenko charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnold Bondarenko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Irkutsk FC booed when Novocheboksarsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnold Bondarenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paramon Miheev in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gennadiy Zyuzin saved Novocheboksarsk FC from getting behind. If Paramon Miheev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 69 minutes, Paramon Miheev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irkutsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paramon Miheev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Irkutsk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vadim Homutov to maneuver through the defense. Dmitriy Kolmakov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolay Vorobiev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stepan Kiselev hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When Irkutsk FC's Paramon Miheev in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Paramon Miheev helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Paramon Miheev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92ndth minute of the game Paramon Miheev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Novocheboksarsk FC's Gennadiy Zyuzin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute Nikolay Vorobiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmitriy Kolmakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Novocheboksarsk FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Irkutsk FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
