With a little luck, Kyzyl HC's Danila Gershman got control of the ball when Maksim Samygin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, one of Kyzyl HC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Grigoriy Kulakov's late challenge caught a Kyzyl HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grigoriy Kulakov helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kurgan getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Grigoriy Kulakov hit a great ball. Oleg Karnaukhov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evgeniy Chernetskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipp Dynnikov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Oleg Karnaukhov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evgeniy Chernetskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Filipp Dynnikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Denis Vorozhbitov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Danila Gershman. Denis Vorozhbitov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 40th match minute, Kurgan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maksim Samygin to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Vorozhbitov to make the kick off. Danila Gershman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maksim Samygin in the 55th minute of play. If Maksim Samygin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitaliy Arshavin during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kurgan booed when Kyzyl HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitaliy Arshavin didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Vorozhbitov in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danila Gershman saved Kyzyl HC from getting behind. Kyzyl HC's Danila Gershman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maksim Samygin in the 68th minute of play. If Maksim Samygin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evgeniy Chernetskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute of the match, Filipp Dynnikov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Oleg Karnaukhov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 96th minute Denis Vorozhbitov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danila Gershman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kurgan had won after a very even match.
