The audience was convinced that Felix Tomashpolskiy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Innokentiy Perov was relentless in the 2nd minute of the game. With a left leg Innokentiy Perov saved Syktyvkar HC from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Syktyvkar HC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Tomashpolskiy came free, but Innokentiy Perov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Syktyvkar HC's zone, Felix Tomashpolskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Innokentiy Perov came out of the goal and Felix Tomashpolskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute Felix Tomashpolskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innokentiy Perov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vsevolod Filippenkov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Innokentiy Perov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tobolsk's Felix Tomashpolskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vyacheslav Olovyanishnikov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes in the game, Felix Tomashpolskiy fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Innokentiy Perov having to interfere. After some careless play in the Syktyvkar HC defense, Vsevolod Filippenkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Innokentiy Perov. The Syktyvkar HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Innokentiy Perov should have stopped the shot. Innokentiy Perov made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Vsevolod Filippenkov sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute Felix Tomashpolskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innokentiy Perov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Tomashpolskiy was the one to do the kick off. Felix Tomashpolskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Innokentiy Perov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantin Lysokon in the 69th minute of play forced Syktyvkar HC's goalkeeper Innokentiy Perov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Syktyvkar HC's Innokentiy Perov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantin Lysokon in the 74th minute of play. Mikhail Zhitkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Innokentiy Perov having to interfere. Vsevolod Filippenkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Innokentiy Perov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Felix Tomashpolskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tobolsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Tomashpolskiy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felix Tomashpolskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vsevolod Filippenkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Innokentiy Perov having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Felix Tomashpolskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tobolsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Tomashpolskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Innokentiy Perov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Tobolsk booed when Syktyvkar HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vyacheslav Kapustin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Tobolsk players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
