With a left leg Artem Eremenko saved PFC Kristall from getting behind. 5 minutes into the match, PFC Kristall's goal looked a bit too open when Vadim Babanin came free, but Artem Eremenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rostislav Malafeev charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rostislav Malafeev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, PFC Kristall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rostislav Malafeev to maneuver through the defense. Artem Eremenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Pashkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ivan Pashkin came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Kurgan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Pashkin couldn't finish the play. After having played for 19 minutes, Ivan Pashkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kurgan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Pashkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albert Sharapov struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Artem Eremenko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kurgan FC. In the 22nd minute, Vadim Babanin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute, Ivan Pashkin fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute Egor Boyarintsev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksey Dmitriev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Ivan Pashkin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artem Eremenko was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Ivan Pashkin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artem Eremenko was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Vadim Babanin took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artem Eremenko. Artem Eremenko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Kurgan FC's zone, Egor Boyarintsev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksey Dmitriev came out of the goal and Egor Boyarintsev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The long shot by Igor Bardzkiy in the 45th minute really tested Aleksey Dmitriev's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 48th minute, Ivan Pashkin made a precise shot to the right of Artem Eremenko. PFC Kristall's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Pashkin to make the kick off. With his leg Artem Eremenko managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Kurgan FC's Ivan Pashkin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Pashkin in the 57th minute of play forced PFC Kristall's goalkeeper Artem Eremenko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute of the match Kurgan FC got a corner. PFC Kristall's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vadim Babanin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Kurgan FC's Albert Sharapov to fire away a dangerous shot which Artem Eremenko despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Pashkin got free with Artem Eremenko in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Vadim Babanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A hard shot 64 in the game by Ivan Pashkin from a close distance when the talented Artem Eremenko managed to make a qualified save. PFC Kristall's players were relieved. In the 71st minute of the match Aleksandr Marinin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artem Eremenko skillfully saved the ball. Ivan Pashkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rostislav Mitrofanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Artem Eremenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Matvey Lukyanets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Pashkin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Artem Eremenko skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Artem Eremenko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Pashkin in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Lev Averkovich managed to get in a good position for a shot. PFC Kristall's supporters rose to their feet, but Lev Averkovich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksey Dmitriev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rostislav Mitrofanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artem Eremenko having to interfere. Vadim Babanin took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artem Eremenko. Artem Eremenko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Pashkin got free with Artem Eremenko in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aleksey Dmitriev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egor Boyarintsev in the 94th minute of the match. Vadim Babanin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artem Eremenko having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Ivan Pashkin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Kurgan FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
