A collision led to Kemerovo FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Petr Gilyarevskiy hit a great ball. In the 7th match minute, Barnaul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anatoliy Dorofeev to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Barnaul's zone, Artem Mamontov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stepan Gutiontov came out of the goal and Artem Mamontov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oleg Kosakovskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Stepan Gutiontov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 played minutes Oleg Kosakovskiy rounded Barnaul's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 21st minute, Rostislav Radimov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kemerovo FC's Danila Bezuglyi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barnaul. Boris Konstantinov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oleg Babushkin in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 41st minute Rostislav Radimov suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The supporters of Barnaul booed when Kemerovo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silantiy Smekalin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anatoliy Dorofeev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute.
