Nikita Pakhomov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Viktor Babich sped through Barnaul's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gleb Tarenetskiy. In the 10th minute of the match Vasiliy Anikin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gleb Tarenetskiy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Nalchik FC's goal looked a bit too open when Semen Emelyanov came free, but Vsevolod Dyrdin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barnaul's Valeriy Skobov got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Vyacheslav Kelchevskiy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gleb Tarenetskiy. Barnaul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vyacheslav Kelchevskiy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. A collision led to Barnaul getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nikolay Narezhnyi hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Viktor Babich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, one of Barnaul:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gleb Tarenetskiy went to the wrong direction when Vasiliy Anikin was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Nikita Pakhomov's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vsevolod Dyrdin firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 34th match minute, Barnaul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikolay Narezhnyi to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute Vyacheslav Kelchevskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gleb Tarenetskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Semen Emelyanov was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Nalchik FC's Vasiliy Anikin got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Valeriy Skobov kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. With a little luck, Barnaul's Gleb Tarenetskiy got control of the ball when Viktor Babich tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oleg Amelichev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gleb Tarenetskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vsevolod Dyrdin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolay Narezhnyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viktor Babich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Vyacheslav Kelchevskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nalchik FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vyacheslav Kelchevskiy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 65 played minutes, Nalchik FC's Ruslan Sorokin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gleb Tarenetskiy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nalchik FC reached it. Vsevolod Dyrdin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yaromir Karnaukhov, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Oleg Amelichev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 71 played minutes Nalchik FC got a freekick which was hit by Oleg Amelichev. In the 75th minute, Valeriy Skobov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, Barnaul's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vyacheslav Kelchevskiy fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 80th minute Viktor Babich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gleb Tarenetskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barnaul's goalkeeper Gleb Tarenetskiy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Gleb Tarenetskiy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 89 minutes into the game, Nikolay Narezhnyi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnaul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nalchik FC the free kick. In the 91st minute, Viktor Babich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vsevolod Dyrdin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semen Emelyanov in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Nikolay Narezhnyi made a precise shot to the right of Vsevolod Dyrdin. Nalchik FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The Nalchik FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nalchik FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
