Voronezh's Filimon Striganov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Voronezh from getting a goal against them. Panteleimon Vinnikov scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valeriy Tochilin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Voronezh's Boris Kopylov got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleksandr Isaev got free with Filimon Striganov in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marat Verzilov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nikolay Mozgovoy to make the kick off. Panteleimon Vinnikov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Marat Verzilov could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Valeriy Tochilin however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 79 minutes, Nikolay Mozgovoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. БЛАГОДАТЬ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikolay Mozgovoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filimon Striganov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksandr Isaev, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Filipp Stoichik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerasim Kulagin's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Filimon Striganov on his right side and into the goal. 84 minutes into the game it was 2-1. In the 92nd match minute, БЛАГОДАТЬ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hristofor Gamov to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Voronezh's Boris Kopylov broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Marat Verzilov struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Valeriy Tochilin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Voronezh. The crowd rose to their feet as Voronezh's Panteleimon Vinnikov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valeriy Tochilin. That made the score 2-2 after 97 minutes of play.
