German Bobrov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dmitriy Grushenko in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kirill Morozov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kondrat Chepygin's late challenge caught a Volgodonsk FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kondrat Chepygin helped the player get up and apologised. Kondrat Chepygin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Mark Berdnikov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladislav Chudnovskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kirill Morozov firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Penza getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. German Fomenko hit a great ball. After 30 played minutes Volgodonsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Evgeniy Foteev. Klim Glavchev hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Shalimov in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladislav Chudnovskiy saved Volgodonsk FC from getting behind. Vladislav Chudnovskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Shalimov in the 39th minute of play. Kirill Morozov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dmitriy Grushenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Kirill Morozov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dmitriy Grushenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Bobrov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Kirill Morozov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mark Berdnikov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Volgodonsk FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Penza were winning 0-1.

Penza's Kirill Morozov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dmitriy Grushenko in the 53rd minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, Penza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Frelih to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dmitriy Grushenko during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dmitriy Grushenko kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the last second Vladislav Chudnovskiy throw himself and got hold of the ball when Roman Shalimov in the 62ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. German Bobrov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Kirill Morozov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, German Bobrov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Volgodonsk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but German Bobrov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirill Morozov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Penza's Sergey Gedimin got a free kick in the 67th minute. Timofey Boyarinov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kirill Morozov. Penza's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Berdnikov got free with Vladislav Chudnovskiy in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Roman Shalimov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 77 minutes, Roman Shalimov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Shalimov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mark Berdnikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Shalimov in the 82nd minute of play forced Volgodonsk FC's goalkeeper Vladislav Chudnovskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roman Shalimov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladislav Chudnovskiy having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Klim Glavchev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Penza's Sergey Shabelskiy broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Berdnikov got free with Vladislav Chudnovskiy in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mark Berdnikov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute, Kondrat Chepygin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Penza had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
