The Kazan FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Semen Malysh should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Kazan FC's Yuriy Anyukov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dmitriy Golubev. That made the score 1-2 after 20 minutes of play. In the 24th minute of the match Valentin Drashinskiy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Semen Malysh skillfully saved the ball. If Aleksandr Dikikh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Evgeniy Kochiev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Aleksandr Dikikh could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Dmitriy Golubev however easily saved by the left post. In the 46th minute, Gerasim Kumachenkov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Semen Malysh was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The Kazan FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tver were winning 1-3.

Gerasim Kumachenkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timofey Drozdov during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes Kazan FC got a freekick which was hit by Timofey Drozdov. Nestor Bukrinskiy's late challenge caught a Kazan FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nestor Bukrinskiy helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tver's Nestor Bukrinskiy got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 94th minute, Tver's Stanislav Bugaev ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Semen Malysh. Semen Malysh yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5.
