Fedot Potapov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrey Osyanin in the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Andrey Osyanin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fedot Potapov. Moscow's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrey Osyanin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Moscow's goal looked a bit too open when Andrey Osyanin came free, but Fedot Potapov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moscow's Sergey Sobolev got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moscow's Fedot Potapov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oleg Veprik in the 19th minute of play. Fedot Potapov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrey Osyanin in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Novokuznetsk FC's goalkeeper Felix Popov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dmitriy Buzov in the 28th minute of play forced Moscow's goalkeeper Fedot Potapov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Moscow's goal looked a bit too open when Andrey Osyanin came free, but Fedot Potapov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladislav Koshelev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergey Sobolev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Felix Popov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergey Sobolev to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Moscow got a freekick which was hit by Vasiliy Antonov. Vladislav Pimenov kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Novokuznetsk FC's Danil Medvedev shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fedot Potapov but with some difficulty. Vladislav Koshelev might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felix Popov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vladislav Koshelev ran back to his position shaking his head. Vladislav Koshelev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Popov having to interfere. Vasiliy Antonov took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felix Popov. Felix Popov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Fedot Potapov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrey Osyanin in the 73rd minute of play. Fedot Potapov made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Oleg Veprik sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute Stepan Sulyaev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedot Potapov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fedot Potapov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oleg Veprik in the 78th minute. Moscow's Andrey Kabanov managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Maksim Fokin in the 81 minute of the game. Fedot Potapov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrey Osyanin in the 88th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Moscow defense, Stepan Sulyaev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fedot Potapov. The Moscow fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fedot Potapov should have stopped the shot. After 92 played minutes Novokuznetsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrey Osyanin. After a defensive mix-up in Moscow's zone, Andrey Osyanin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fedot Potapov came out of the goal and Andrey Osyanin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Novokuznetsk FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Moscow from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
