In the 9th minute of the match Albert Suzi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egor Filippov skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Leonid Lagutenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neftekamsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonid Lagutenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Egor Filippov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonid Lagutenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naum Berezovets who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Egor Filippov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Martyn Derepasko struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Lev Zhirnov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stavropol FC. 0-1 became the score in the 26th minute when Martyn Derepasko elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Prokl Berggolts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Lev Zhirnov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, one of Stavropol FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stavropol FC. The referee gave Neftekamsk FC a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Aleksandr Shmytkin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Stavropol FC's Egor Filippov. 1-1. 42 minutes into the game, Ilya Agalakov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stavropol FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neftekamsk FC the free kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonid Lagutenko was the one to do the kick off. Egor Filippov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonid Lagutenko in the 54th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Konstantin Gavrilov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Neftekamsk FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stavropol FC the free kick. The audience was convinced that Prokl Berggolts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lev Zhirnov was relentless in the 68th minute of the game.
