Stavropol FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martyn Derepasko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grigoriy Bessmertnyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Kondratiev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egor Filippov having to make a save. In the 44th minute Evgeniy Galitskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egor Filippov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Prokl Berggolts made a kick off. Prokl Berggolts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grigoriy Bessmertnyi came out of the goal and Martyn Derepasko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Martyn Derepasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prokl Berggolts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Grigoriy Bessmertnyi having to make a save. The supporters of Stavropol FC booed when Chita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georgiy Fadeev didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Stavropol FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Sanin to maneuver through the defense. Grigoriy Bessmertnyi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Stavropol FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chita FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
