After a rather tough play, Saint Petersburg HC's Vladimir Gurtovoy got a free kick in the 6th minute. Rostislav Asov kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Saint Petersburg HC's goal looked a bit too open when Nikita Grigoriev came free, but Yaroslav Ryumin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Saint Petersburg HC booed when Novocherkassk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedosey Lomakin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilya Vladimirov scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Semen Malinovkin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rdth minute of the game Nikita Grigoriev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saint Petersburg HC's Yaroslav Ryumin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Semen Malinovkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigoriy Kunin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grigoriy Kunin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fedosey Lomakin during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Saint Petersburg HC booed when Novocherkassk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedosey Lomakin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ilya Vladimirov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigoriy Kunin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Semen Malinovkin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ilya Vladimirov in the 36th minute. When Marat Schukin came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Novocherkassk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marat Schukin couldn't finish the play. Marat Schukin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Yaroslav Ryumin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruslan Kachimov was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Marat Schukin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yaroslav Ryumin having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilya Vladimirov in the 54th minute of play forced Novocherkassk's goalkeeper Semen Malinovkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fedosey Lomakin hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Ilya Vladimirov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saint Petersburg HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilya Vladimirov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Semen Malinovkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marat Schukin struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Yaroslav Ryumin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Novocherkassk. Marat Schukin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Yaroslav Ryumin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yaroslav Ryumin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikita Grigoriev in the 71st minute. Nikita Grigoriev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Yaroslav Ryumin made a huge save. 77 minutes into the match, Saint Petersburg HC's goalkeeper Yaroslav Ryumin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fedosey Lomakin. Nikita Grigoriev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yaroslav Ryumin having to interfere. Fedosey Lomakin took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yaroslav Ryumin. Yaroslav Ryumin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Vladimir Gurtovoy hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Novocherkassk's Ruslan Kachimov broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Filipp Novozhilov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Yaroslav Ryumin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Novocherkassk were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Saint Petersburg HC to leave the ground with a draw.
