Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vladimir Kornitskiy kicked off to start the match. When Leonid Levkovskiy came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Arsenal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonid Levkovskiy couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Yakutsk HC's zone, Sergey Karpin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georgiy Medvedev came out of the goal and Sergey Karpin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arsenal's Eduard Pavlov got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute of the match, Leonid Levkovskiy tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Georgiy Medvedev saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eduard Pavlov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Georgiy Medvedev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 19 in the game by Eduard Pavlov from a close distance when the talented Georgiy Medvedev managed to make a qualified save. Yakutsk HC's players were relieved. If Danil Volchkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mikhail Babel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georgiy Medvedev having to interfere. In the 35th match minute, Arsenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Anofriev to maneuver through the defense. If Sergey Galkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eduard Pavlov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Georgiy Medvedev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Georgiy Medvedev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonid Levkovskiy in the 40th minute of the match. Mikhail Babel struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Georgiy Medvedev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal. In the 43rd minute, Eduard Pavlov made a precise shot to the right of Georgiy Medvedev. Yakutsk HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

A wasted opportunity for Arsenal. 54 minutes into the match, Arsenal's Mikhail Babel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georgiy Medvedev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal's zone, Vladimir Kornitskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Svyatoslav Babinov came out of the goal and Vladimir Kornitskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miron Fattakh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mikhail Babel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georgiy Medvedev having to interfere. Arsenal's Leonid Levkovskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduard Pavlov in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georgiy Medvedev saved Yakutsk HC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Yakutsk HC's zone, Sergey Galkin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georgiy Medvedev came out of the goal and Sergey Galkin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the game, Arsenal's Eduard Pavlov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Georgiy Medvedev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After a rather tough play, Yakutsk HC's Vsevolod Mashkov got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Georgiy Medvedev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergey Galkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduard Pavlov might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Georgiy Medvedev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduard Pavlov ran back to his position shaking his head. Sergey Karpin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Georgiy Medvedev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Eduard Pavlov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Pavlov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georgiy Medvedev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arsenal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
