Fedor Golovnitskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Irakliy Groshevoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Veniamin Shvyryaev got free with Irakliy Groshevoy in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Fedor Golovnitskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Engels HC's Veniamin Shvyryaev got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ryazan's zone, Egor Stepanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irakliy Groshevoy came out of the goal and Egor Stepanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Irakliy Groshevoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egor Stepanov in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Engels HC booed when Ryazan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir Shadrin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes, Engels HC's Nikolay Svirskiy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Irakliy Groshevoy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Engels HC reached it. A collision led to Ryazan getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ernest Chebykin hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Egor Stepanov to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Egor Stepanov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Irakliy Groshevoy. Ryazan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egor Stepanov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Fedor Golovnitskiy struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Irakliy Groshevoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Engels HC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedor Golovnitskiy in the 57th minute of play forced Ryazan's goalkeeper Irakliy Groshevoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Irakliy Groshevoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egor Stepanov in the 58th minute of the match. Irakliy Groshevoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egor Stepanov in the 66th minute of play. After 71 minutes, Fedor Golovnitskiy made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ryazan's Irakliy Groshevoy tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Shadrin in the 75th minute of play forced Engels HC's goalkeeper Gerasim Burov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egor Stepanov in the 78th minute of play forced Ryazan's goalkeeper Irakliy Groshevoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Egor Stepanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Fedor Golovnitskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irakliy Groshevoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egor Stepanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Irakliy Groshevoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Vladimir Shadrin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ryazan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Engels HC the free kick. Vladimir Shadrin kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Egor Stepanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Egor Stepanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
