Vladislav Usatov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gennadiy Antoshin having to interfere. If Feoktist Rassanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladislav Usatov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gennadiy Antoshin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Konstantin Elhov came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Volgograd FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konstantin Elhov couldn't finish the play. Evgeniy Dvinskih took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gennadiy Antoshin. Volgograd FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 29 played minutes Volgograd FC got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Tomilchik. After 31 played minutes Volgograd FC got a freekick which was hit by Veniamin Verevkin. 38 minutes into the match, Nazran's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantin Elhov came free, but Vyacheslav Konstantinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Feoktist Rassanov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gennadiy Antoshin. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 47th match minute, Volgograd FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Tomilchik to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Boris Savin made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Boris Savin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vyacheslav Konstantinov was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 56th minute Boris Savin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vyacheslav Konstantinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanislav Gulyaev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gennadiy Antoshin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladislav Usatov in the 64th minute of the match. If Boris Savin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gennadiy Antoshin came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Nazran's Feoktist Rassanov. But to his dismay, Feoktist Rassanov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 76th minute, Feoktist Rassanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gennadiy Antoshin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladislav Usatov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ippolit Polyakov came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Nazran fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ippolit Polyakov couldn't finish the play. Gennadiy Antoshin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladislav Usatov in the 92nd minute of play. Vladislav Usatov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gennadiy Antoshin having to interfere.
